Duties of a Bankrupt – Meeting of Creditors
Every bankrupt is required to attend a meeting of creditors in the unlikely even that such a meeting is called. Typically, a meeting of creditors is only called if an interested party is skeptical about the financial affairs disclosed by the bankrupt; for example, they may believe that the bankrupt is hiding assets.
Only the Trustee, Superintendent of Bankruptcy, or creditors representing 25% of your debt can demand that such a meeting be held.
