Duties of a Bankrupt: Examinations
A Bankrupt may be examined under oath by their Trustee, a creditor, or the Superintendent of Bankruptcy.
While the Superintendent of Bankruptcy randomly examines a small percentage of every Trustee’s bankrupts, if an examination is requested a bankrupt has a duty to attend. During these examinations the bankrupt’s confirm many of the details that they disclose to their Trustee including what they owe, own, and earn, as well as their living arrangements and prior bankruptcies.
While nobody wishes to have their financial affairs examined, the process is nothing to fear.
